Last night Woolworths Carols in the Domain filled Sydney and homes across Australia with festive cheer and celebration from Australia's leading entertainers, raising more than $100,000 for The Salvation Army's OASIS Youth Support Network.

"What a show it was!" said The Salvation Army's Pat Daley. "Sincere thanks from The Salvo's to the people of Sydney for truly sharing in the Christmas spirit and supporting us at Woolworths Carols in the Domain."

For the first time in many years, we managed to sell out of candlebags - the sale of which aids our youth support network - Oasis. The people of Sydney and those who come to Carols from all over Australia deserve our thanks for their generosity," he continued.

Delta Goodrem, Shannon Noll, Brian McFadden, Guy Sebastian, David Hobson, Paulini, Christine Anu, Deni Hines, The Wiggles, Melinda Schneider, Amelia Farrugia, Justine Clarke, Rachael Beck and many more performed their favourite Christmas carols to a live audience estimated to be 100,000.

"My family and I come to the show every year, we wouldn't miss it!" said Brookevale resident Jenny Tillman, who bought her three sons Josh (13), Ben (10) and Luke (4) to the spectacular.

"This was definitely the best show ever - it's not often that my three boys stay entertained and enthralled for three hours straight!"

"It was awesome!" said ten year old Ben. "It makes waiting another few days until Christmas a bit easier."Last night's show included a special moment where husband and wife to be, Delta Goodrem and Brian McFadden performed a duet together.

"The duet was one of the highlights from last night's show," said Woolworths Carols in the Domain Co-Executive Producer, Shauna Kane. "I'm a romantic from way back, but I thought it was just fantastic."

Even the one and only Santa Claus took time out of his last minute preparations for his Christmas Eve journey around the world to join the cast on-stage, to the delight of everyone in the audience.

"I'm always pleased to drop by and say a big ‘Merry Christmas' to all the good little boys and girls who are enjoying Woolworths Carols in the Domain!" said the man with the big white beard.

"Now I have to go, I've got some work to do over the next couple of days!"

"I'm so pleased that once again Woolworths Carols in the Domain has bought the true spirit of Christmas to so many families," said Shauna. "Thanks to everyone involved in putting the show together - especially this year's artists who each did an incredible job."

"We've really raised the bar this year. Now it's time for a couple of months off, before we start planning for next years show!" she added.
