Charity - Carols in the Domain
Woolworths Carols in the Domain is proud to again be able to support to The Salvation Army and The Salvation Army's Oasis Youth Support Network as its official charities.
During the festive period, The Salvation Army will assist more than 300,000 people, including serving 8,000 Christmas meals and distributing approximately 500,000 toys and gifts to those in need.
All those who attend this year's Woolworths Carols in the Domain can show their support for the Salvos' work by purchasing a candle bag at the event from one of the Oasis Youth Support Network volunteers at the event. The bags, which are packed full of goodies and on sale for just $15, are valued at more than $100.
By purchasing a candle bag, you'll be making a difference in the lives of many of Sydney's disadvantaged, disconnected and homeless young people.
As The Salvation Army's major response to youth homelessness in Sydney, Oasis Youth Support Network (Oasis) provides a place of safety and care where young people, aged 16 to 24, can find refuge. Oasis offers opportunities for homeless and disadvantaged young people to embrace their potential and envision their life taking a different path through the provision of stable accommodation and one-on-one case management, as well as access to tailored education and training.
